Video from the Fall Showcase/ Awards show is coming eventually. I'll keep you posted.
It’s time for ’09!
Kaliber Stables is excited about all that 2009 has in store with new clients, an ambitious show schedule with our veteran showers and up and coming stars as well as fun events planned for all riders of all levels.
A year in review:
2008 was jammed packed with activity. Personally I have to thank all of my clients for their help and support while I was pregnant with my third son. The barn continued at full strength and we were a fantastic team.
Treyce Gabriel Piercey was born August 1st and has been the best baby one could ever hope for. Brothers Caden and Morgan have adjusted so well. Caden is in Kindergarten and Morgan is thriving at his pre-school.
As a barn, we held a “Home Grown Show”, attended 6 RMHSA Type 3 shows, 4 class A shows and one Regional Championship show which led to our star veteran junior rider taking 3 top tens at the Canadian Nationals! We could not be more proud and excited for the accomplishments that Dailene Christensen brought home to Kaliber with Heritage Socrates. A special thanks to Diane Underwood for her help with those accomplishments while I was massively pregnant!
I lost track of all the wins and impressive placings, but I would say that as a barn at all of these levels we took home over 75 blue ribbons, dozens of class A Championships and Reserves, 4 Regional top 5’s, one Regional Reserve Championship, and one Regional Open Championship as well as the 3 Canadian top tens. Plus had a baby! Again, none of this would have been possible without the help and support of the Kaliber team.
Hindsight Productions LTD, my husband and I’s side business was very busy with being the official videographer at numerous class A shows as well as the Official Photographer at the Estes park show. We also had a blast doing farm shoots for sale videos. Check out www.hindsightproductions.org and browse around the videos and proofs!
Watch Out!!!!!
Some up and coming junior riders to watch out for is Millie Kerrick and her PB Country/Show Hack gelding Crisara Absolute and Chelsea Kelly with her HA mare I’m So Sassy. Chelsea and Sassy will be going for wins in the reining and horsemanship arena. Dailene will be campaigning Heritage Socrates for her final year as a youth as well as the HA reining horse, Isle Getaround, AKA “Louie.”
Kaliber continues to strive for applicable ways for clients to participate at mid to upper levels even if they can not have a show horse of their own. Our lesson horses have competed successfully at no less than the Regional level and with this experience they allow the student to grow and expand their abilities into the show arena if they choose to.
It’s Not All Show...
Kaliber Stables is heavily motivated towards the ultimate goal of horse and rider in sync with each other so that they will be successful in the show ring. However; these practices and philosophies filter into ever aspect of riding including riding just for pleasure. Safety, formal techniques and old fashioned horsemanship create a rock solid rider. Clients of all needs and wants can feel comfortable that they will become a better horse person with time spent at Kaliber Stables.
Through the Grape Vine...
I would like to thank all the word of mouth recommendations that I have received over the years. Most of these have resulted in long term clients that have really become a special part of Kaliber Stables. This is a great compliment to the facility and program! Our door is always open for any one who wants to love and learn horses. More updates to come, keep checking back.
